The Friendship Bench + The Last Ranger

The Friendship Bench, a movie about a mental health treatment program in Zimbabwe that uses grandmothers in the community to assist in the delivery of this treatment. When the community loses hope, grandmothers take action. The Last Ranger, a short film about rhino poaching and conservation in Amakhala Game reserve. This film was nominated for Best Live Action - Short Film at 2024 Academy awards.
Together these movies celebrate the strength of the communities and the courage of individuals who rise to protect others echoing the mission of Education without Borders and the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Proceeds from this event supports both organizations.
